Job Description

Position Summary

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Strategic Marketing and Passenger Engagement this position will lead strategic marketing initiatives and brandbuilding activities as part of the Strategic Marketing and Communications Department within the Strategy and Stakeholder Engagement Division.
The Strategy and Stakeholder Engagement Division is an inhouse team serving as stewards of strategy developing strategic communications and creating stakeholder champions to ensure the organization delivers on its purpose values and focus areas.

The Strategic Marketing and Communications Department elevates a consistent brand voice activates the Minneapolis St Paul International Airport (MSP) and Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) brands to engage key constituents supports revenue growth influences our community and invites passenger engagement through strategic campaigns grounded in research and analytics.
This position will research develop plan and collaborate crossfunctionally to implement marketing strategies that enhance the organizations brands and increase revenue through various initiatives.

Position Description

Lead marketing strategy and planning


Collaborate crossfunctionally to lead internal and external strategic marketing initiatives
  • Accountable for the creation of channel strategy and messaging specific to various customer experience and revenuegenerating initiatives.
  • Prioritize clear marketing and communications objectives to drive brand awareness and growth
  • Work across the division to ensure all marketing communications and events are strategically grounded.
  • Partner with creative and communications team members to formulate and execute targeted marketing and communications initiatives that adhere to brand standards.
  • Research channel consumption and trends to identify key channel insights and recommend optimal macro marketing mix.
  • Recommend budget allocation to meet business objectives and inform marketing leadership.
  • Develop project and creative briefs and communicate strategic objectives to internal team members to ensure projects are completed in alignment with strategy.
  • Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and creative reviews.
  • Contribute to the development of brandbuilding strategies and strategic implementation of projects.
  • Represent the Strategic Marketing and Communications Department in organizational projects and committees asneeded.
  • Other duties as assigned at the discretion of management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • A bachelors degree preferably in Marketing Advertising Business or a related degree
  • Five years of professional marketing experience
  • In lieu of a degree nine years of professional marketing experience.
  • Experience in client and project management
  • Experience planning and implementing effective marketing plans and programs
  • Experience writing concise and compelling project and creative briefs
  • Proven ability to plan and implement effective marketing plans and programs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an innate attention to detail
  • Experience gaining consensus and driving deliverables with individuals at various levels within an organization
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective crossfunctional working relationships
  • Experience influencing creative team discussions
  • Demonstrated analytical and research skills
  • Ability to speak effectively in a public forum and to develop highquality presentations
  • Experience using project management software
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Teams Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook at an intermediate skill level.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
  • Ten or more years of marketing experience including agency experience
  • Experience with integrated marketing campaigns that include traditional and modern media elements
  • Advanced copywriting skills
  • Experience in hospitality hotel stadium parking and/or airline marketing
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Experience working for or with public sector entities or governmental agencies
  • Experience with project management software (Smartsheet Wrike Bootcamp etc.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and a basic understanding of HTML.
  • Experience in using Power BI Forms and SharePoint.
