Shoreline Community College is seeking an experienced QA Machinist Instructor to teach students the principles and applications of quality assurance in machining. This role will provide handson instruction in precision measurement inspection techniques GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) quality control methodologies and management systems used in modern manufacturing.
The instructor will be responsible for developing coursework instructing students in classroom and lab settings and ensuring graduates are prepared for careers in manufacturing aerospace and related industries.
Faculty at Shoreline will have an array of students from differing programs in their classroom including professional technical and university transfers. Shoreline seeks a candidate that can identify and mitigate the barriers to success that many students face and be passionate about creating an equitable learning environment that supports success for all students.As such candidate response to the supplemental questions below will be the first criteria of consideration.

Required Education & Experience
OR
Sufficiently broad and comprehensive training (for example an associates degree) in Manufacturing Engineering Quality Assurance or a related field
AND
at least one relevant industry recognized certification such as ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) NIMS Machining Level I/II Mitutoyo training or CMM training.

Physical Work Environment: Instruction will include online modules combined with in person classes in the Metrology Lab on the Shoreline Community College Campus. For oncampus inperson instruction work requires standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time. Faculty typically use computers media equipment and field specific tools in the work environment.
