About the Team
OpenAI Finance ensures the organization is set up for success in pursuit of its mission. The Revenue team works crossfunctionally to evolve and grow OpenAIs commercial offerings. This team oversees billing operations deal desk revenue systems and revenue closeensuring revenue processes are scalable accurate and compliant.
About the Role
As the Head of Revenue Systems you will own the strategy and of OpenAIs global billing infrastructure across both Consumer and Enterprise product lines. Youll shape how we design launch and scale our monetization systemspartnering closely with Engineering Product and Finance to deliver seamless billing experiences drive scalable operations and ensure accuracy and compliance in revenue reporting.
In this highimpact role youll work directly with OpenAIs fastgrowing suite of AI products building robust solutions influencing system architecture and leading crossfunctional initiatives that drive global growth.
This role is based in San Francisco CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.
In this role you will:
Translate the Revenue teams vision into a worldclass revenue systems architecture partnering with Product Accounting and Engineering to design scalable system requirements.
Lead the team to drive major systems initiatives spanning payments billing invoicing and revenue reporting.
Support new product monetization strategies across both consumer and enterprise segments.
Oversee complex billing and revenue transformation projects with a bias toward action and innovation.
Drive longterm strategic planning while delivering operational excellence.
Build strong crossfunctional influence earning trust across technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
You might thrive in this role if you:
12 years of experience in Revenue Operations Billing Architecture Financial Systems or OrdertoCash leadership roles.
Deep expertise in subscription and usagebased billing models ASC 606 revenue recognition and payment systems (e.g. Stripe Adyen).
Proven success scaling systems in hypergrowth environments.
A builders mindset with the ability to architect and implement inhouse billing solutions.
Strong analytical and project management skills with a track record of leading crossfunctional initiatives.
Working knowledge of SQL financial data structures and analytics tools.
