Salary: $44000 $46000 annually.

Are you passionate about sports medicine and looking to make a meaningful impact on studentathletes health and performance Canisius University is seeking a dedicated Assistant Athletic Trainer to join our Division I athletics team. This dynamic 11month modified fulltime position offers the opportunity to work with both mens and womens sports including primary coverage for womens soccer and baseball.
As part of our Sports Medicine team youll play a key role in providing topnotch care for studentathletes from injury prevention and emergency care to rehabilitation and recovery. Youll also have the chance to collaborate with coaches physicians and performance staff to ensure the wellbeing of our athletes and help them succeed both on and off the field.
What Youll Do:
- Provide comprehensive athletic training services to studentathletes including injury evaluation emergency care and rehabilitation.
- Work closely with coaches sports medicine staff and team physicians to coordinate care and ensure safe practices.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with NCAA conference and university regulations.
- Travel with assigned teams for events and competitions.
- Contribute to the overall success of the Athletics Department by providing expert support to studentathletes.
What Were Looking For:
- Masters Degree (required).
- Previous collegiate or secondary school experience is a plus.
- Current BOC certification and eligibility for NYS Education Department Certification.
- First Aid CPR and AED certification .
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with a diverse group of studentathletes coaches and staff.
- A valid drivers license (or the ability to obtain one if relocating to NYS).
