POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Division/Department: Accounting
Job Title: Assistant Controller Position
Highly motivated selfstarter to work as an assistant controller in the accounting department
Responsibilities:
- Supervise several accounting clerks
- Prepare weekly cost reports
- Perform all fixed asset accounting functions
- Perform month end closing functions
- Implement new procedures or policies as directed
- Ensure full cross training of staff
- Help establish procedures and internal controls for departments
- Regularly review procedures and controls
- Verify that the location complies with JBS Financial Polices
- Review daily and weekly P&Ls for reasonableness
- Review variances of weekly vs daily P&Ls.
- Perform monthly reconciliation between Weekly P&Ls and General Ledger
- Perform post balance sheet reviews after each closing
- Assist the Plant Controller in preparing annual budget
- Work with the Plant Controller in conducting post audit reviews of all major CERs
- Work with the Plant Controller in special projects assigned by Corporate
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in accounting
- Business related experience
- Supervisory experience
- High Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ten key skills
- Ability to read financial statements
- Communication skills
- Good attendance record(Less than3points for internal candidates)
- Math skills
