Job Description

What Youll Do:

Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst include but are not limited to:

  • Serves as lead worker in the Office of FinanceClaims.
  • Researches and analyzes complex information to resolve errors modify data and/or determine appropriate action.
  • Researches and analyzes complex Claims and financial information related to Super Retailers and Mobile Cashing to resolve errors and determine appropriate action.
  • Resolves errors with Super Retailers and Mobile Cashing resulting in out of balance conditions.
  • Responds to Super Retailer questions and communications provides assistance and support and resolves financial errors and issues.
  • Conducts Super Retailer training.
  • Assists with set up of Super Retailers.
  • Resolves errors in the Claims batch process and works with Office of Information Technology and vendors to determine appropriate action to correct errors.
  • Serves as department liaison to Office of Information Technology for Claims Information System changes updates and issues.
  • Serves as departmental liaison to troubleshoot financial issues questions and communications related to Prizewinner Annuity Trust meetings.
  • Serves as liaison to troubleshoot Claims department financial issues questions and communications.
  • Gathers and synthesizes data from multiple financial sources to create reports.
  • Assists supervisor in updating and recommends changes in fiscal policy and procedures that impact Claims.
  • As the lead worker provides work direction and training to Claims Financial Analysts and Financial Associates.
  • In backup capacity and on as needed basis performs other related accounting duties.
  • Uses various software programs to complete daily job responsibilities.
  • Performs other duties and works on special projects.

Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration accounting finance or related field; 18 months experience or 18 months training in accounting &/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software.

Or completion of graduate core program in business administration accounting finance or related field; 6 months experience or 6 months training in accounting &/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software.

Or 12 months experience as Financial Analyst 66562.

Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

NOTE: Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 months of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications.
