What Youll Do:
Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst include but are not limited to:
- Serves as lead worker in the Office of FinanceClaims.
- Researches and analyzes complex information to resolve errors modify data and/or determine appropriate action.
- Researches and analyzes complex Claims and financial information related to Super Retailers and Mobile Cashing to resolve errors and determine appropriate action.
- Resolves errors with Super Retailers and Mobile Cashing resulting in out of balance conditions.
- Responds to Super Retailer questions and communications provides assistance and support and resolves financial errors and issues.
- Conducts Super Retailer training.
- Assists with set up of Super Retailers.
- Resolves errors in the Claims batch process and works with Office of Information Technology and vendors to determine appropriate action to correct errors.
- Serves as department liaison to Office of Information Technology for Claims Information System changes updates and issues.
- Serves as departmental liaison to troubleshoot financial issues questions and communications related to Prizewinner Annuity Trust meetings.
- Serves as liaison to troubleshoot Claims department financial issues questions and communications.
- Gathers and synthesizes data from multiple financial sources to create reports.
- Assists supervisor in updating and recommends changes in fiscal policy and procedures that impact Claims.
- As the lead worker provides work direction and training to Claims Financial Analysts and Financial Associates.
- In backup capacity and on as needed basis performs other related accounting duties.
- Uses various software programs to complete daily job responsibilities.
- Performs other duties and works on special projects.

Or completion of graduate core program in business administration accounting finance or related field; 6 months experience or 6 months training in accounting &/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software.

Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
NOTE: Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 months of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications.
