Job Description
ob Summary
Set up operate or tend glue station soldering or brazing machines for metal products components or assemblies.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Turn and press knobs and buttons or enter operating instructions into welding machines. 25
Set up operate or tend welding machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products or assemblies. 20
Load or feed work pieces into welding machines to join or bond components.10
Correct problems by adjusting controls or by stopping machines and opening holding devices.5
Inspect measure or test completed metal work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications using measuring and testing devices.20
Record operational information on specified production reports.3
Read blueprints work orders or production schedules to determine product or job instructions or specifications.2
Assemble align and clamp work pieces into holding fixtures to bond heattreat or solder fabricated metal components.10
Other duties as assigned by Supervision.5
Education and Experience Profile
High school diploma or GED certificate and/or industrial experience.

Required Skills
Operation Monitoring Watching gauges dials or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

Mechanical Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs uses repair and maintenance.
Production and Processing Knowledge of raw materials production processes quality control costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Public Safety and Security Knowledge of relevant equipment policies procedures and strategies to promote effective local state or national security operations for the protection of people data property and institutions.
