Job Description

Medical Assistant (Certified)
The Childrens Cardiology Clinic LLC (CCC) a division of Florida Pediatric Associates LLC (FPA) is seeking a Medical Assistant.
This Medical Assistant will have the opportunity to work closely with one of Orlandos Top Doctors a respected Pediatric/Congenital Heart Physician Dr. Bhavya Trivedi.
As a Medical Assistant you will have a unique opportunity to help with the new CCC private practice to formulate patient flow protocols and practices. He or she will be integral in the establishment of the practice standards and reputation. We are looking for a highly energetic dedicated and professional Medical Assistant to be part of our team and provide high quality patient care by working closely with the supervising pediatric cardiologist.

Qualifications:
Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • MA Certification Required
Experience:
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years working as a Certified Medical Assistant in a medical practice.
  • Experience in Cardiology a plus
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific:
  • Perform duties under supervision of physician.
  • Assist physician in exam rooms.
  • Escort patients to exam rooms interviews patients measure vital signs includingweight blood pressure pulse temperature and document all information in patientschart.
  • Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician or physician assistant.
  • Ensure all related reports labs and information is filed is available in patientsmedical records prior to their appointment.
  • Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies maintain instruments prepare sterilization as required.
  • Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls.
  • Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians andPhysician Assistant.
  • Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures emergency medications expired medications oxygen cold sterilization fluid change etc.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills including composure diplomacy and theability to act with a diverse patient population.
  • Manage confidential employee information in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effectively timemanage job responsibilities; Organize workflow anddocumentation.
  • Responds to medical emergencies and solicits immediately.
  • Other duties assigned by Practice and Clinical area.
