Job Description
Machinist
The Machinist will handle the rebuilding alteration or creation of mold components and a variety of machine parts used in the facility. This work involves operating both traditional and computercontrolled equipment. All items must be produced to exact specifications and meet required accuracy standards.
Responsibilities:
Accurately machine assigned mold components within designated tolerances and within the standard timeframe
Prepare the correct tooling for each task including mounting fixtures or jaws as needed and perform sharpening or grinding of drills cutters and other tools
Interpret and follow technical blueprints and part drawings confirming all required dimensions and part numbers before machining
Conduct all preventative maintenance and daily upkeep on machining equipment as scheduled
Keep the workspace and machinery clean and orderly to meet cleanliness and safety standards
Cut raw materials to size when required for assigned tasks
Upload and download CNC programs as necessary and complete all associated documentation accurately
Requirements:
13 years of experience as a Machinist in similar working environment manufacturing/production setting
HS Diploma is required
Able to machine mold equipment within dimensional and visual tolerances
Able to fabricate parts as needed
Able to perform PMs and daily maintenance
Knowledge and understanding of blueprints
