Sure People Solutions has an exciting opportunity for Mechanical / Machinist Trade Assistants to join our longstanding client (based in Adelaide South Australia).
Our client is an international specialised industrial Engineering Management & Maintenance service provider to various global sectors predominantly Powergeneration Defence LNG and Mining sectors
This role is initially casual with permanent opportunities for the right candidates.

About the Role
Youll be working closely with highly experienced Mechanical Fitters Machinists and Technicians assisting in a range of workshop and sitebased tasks while receiving mentoring and training in specialised equipment and techniques.
What Were Looking For
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Mechanical Trades Assistant
- At least 3 years experience working onsite in mining or oil & gas
- Competent in the use of hand and power tools
- Strong focus on safety and adherence to procedures
- Excellent communication and a teamfocused attitude
- Proactive reliable and eager to learn
Highly Regarded Experience
- C Class Drivers Licence (manual preferred)
- White Card (essential)
- Experience in the following is wellreceived
- Controlled bolting
- Valve repair and testing
- Composite repairs
- Onsite machining
- Hot tapping
- Defence sector experience
- Working at Heights & Confined Space certifications
- Offshore or remote site exposure
- Current Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass preemployment medical D&A screening
