Employee Benefits Producer

Job Summary: We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Employee Benefits Producer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of employee benefits accounts including group health dental vision life and disability insurance. This role involves prospecting new business maintaining relationships with existing clients and working with carriers to ensure competitive and effective employee benefits solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting and generating leads in the employee benefits market.

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients ensuring their needs are met and that they receive the highest level of service.

  • Plan Design and Consultation: Work with clients to design and implement tailored employee benefits programs that align with their needs budgets and company culture.

  • Carrier Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with insurance carriers to stay informed on product offerings trends and pricing.

  • Renewals and Retention: Manage the renewal process for employee benefits accounts negotiate with carriers to secure competitive rates and ensure a smooth transition for clients.

  • Presentations and Proposals: Present employee benefits plans and strategies to clients including cost analysis coverage options and plan recommendations.

  • Compliance and Regulations: Stay informed on healthcare laws regulations and compliance requirements ensuring clients employee benefits programs adhere to federal and state guidelines.

  • CrossSelling and Upselling: Identify additional opportunities for selling complementary benefits solutions (such as voluntary benefits) to existing clients.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to understand the latest trends in employee benefits and ensure clients receive the best solutions available.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (e.g. account managers service teams) to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in business finance human resources or a related field (preferred).

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee benefits sales or related insurance sales.

  • Licensing: Must hold an active health insurance license (or be willing to obtain one within a specified time frame).

  • Skills:

    • Strong sales skills and a proven track record of business development in the employee benefits space.

    • Indepth knowledge of employee benefits products and solutions (group health dental vision life disability).

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex benefits concepts to clients.

    • Negotiation skills and the ability to secure favorable terms with insurance carriers.

    • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
