Volanno a leader in transportation technology and innovation is proud to announce the launch of the Volanno Transportation Academy (VTA) a new 10week fulltime paid internship program designed to give students handson experience addressing the realworld challenges facing the transportation industry.

Through the Volanno Transportation Academy participants will gain direct exposure to aviation rail and local transit operations through curated site visits mentorship by industry experts and projectbased learning. Interns will choose one of three tracks Project Management Entrepreneurship or Technology and work on a focused project that addresses a transportation need.

Location: Washington DC Metro Area (Site Visits Required)
Duration: 10 Weeks (Summer 2025
Compensation: Paid FullTime

About the Track:
The Entrepreneurship Track is designed for students eager to understand how new ideas become business solutions in government contracting. Interns will explore Volannos innovation pipeline from concept to product development sales and marketing with a focus on transportation modernization.

What Youll Do:

• Participate in site visits to transportation agencies and identify unmet needs that could be addressed through innovative solutions.
• Learn how federal state and local government agencies procure technology and services.
• Support the development of white papers product marketing materials and new business pitches.
• Assist in researching market trends and competitive positioning for Volannos technology solutions.
• Meet with transportation leaders and industry experts.
• Complete weekly video logs to document your journey.
• Complete a capstone project proposing a new product or service concept for the transportation sector and present it to Volanno leadership at the end of the program.
• Attend the graduation ceremony.

Qualifications:

• Strong interest in business development sales marketing entrepreneurship or public sector innovation

• Creative strategic thinker comfortable with ambiguity
• Coursework or experience in business entrepreneurship marketing public policy or a related field preferred
