Menzies is looking for a First Nations Project Officer to help improve the health of women with diabetes in pregnancy and their children.

The Role:
Menzies School of Health Research is looking for a First Nations Project Officer to work within the PANDORA study. This study commenced in 2011 as part of the DIABETES Across the LIFECOURSE: Northern Australia Partnership collaboration.
A key aim of our Partnership is to investigate and improve the health of women with diabetes in pregnancy and their children. Our research seeks to understand the relationship between diabetes in pregnancy and clinical outcomes including long term for mothers and their children.
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake clinical assessments and health surveys with the study participants undertaking regular travel as part of their role.
You will also be expected to be able to undertake phlebotomy and specimen collection or willingness to undertake training for phlebotomy and specimen collection from adults and children and process and store pathology specimens for analysis and transport to laboratories and storage as required.
