Job Description

Sapphire Utility Solutions are a leading provider of awardwinning services to the clean water wastewater gas digital networks and highways sector. Established in 2013 we have quickly gone from strength to strength and continue to grow.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Stores Manager to become part of a large contract team helping to provide support to the various Work Teams operating out of a busy yard.

You will need to have a great work ethic problem solving skills and be able to work independently or with Team members to meet daily deadlines.

You may need to work outside in the yard area as well as inside the warehouse and you may be asked to travel to different sites therefore a driving licence is essential.

For the right candidate there will be an opportunity to gain fork truck and telehandler licence.

The role is permanent.

Location:Stafford

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 7am5pm with a 30 minute break.

Salary: 40000 per annum

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

  • Health and Safety Compliance.
  • Inventory management.
  • Stock control.
  • Supplier coordination.
  • Record keeping.
  • Security management.
  • Competent in using hand held device to receive requests and preparing job packs for collection by Teams.
  • Accepting deliveries and reporting any supplier discrepancies.
  • Hands on manually handling materials and ensuring they are stored correctly.
  • Regular stock counts of materials.
  • Create requests for orders to be raised for stock replenishment.
  • Excellent housekeeping whilst adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring safety issues are reported in line with Company procedures.

Experience and qualifications required for the role:

  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
  • FLT licence desirable
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Competent in IT accurate data entry
  • Team player
  • Positive cando attitude
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to work to deadlines and be reactive to the business needs
