Position Summary:
Park Nicollet Radiology team members partner with providers to ensure that each patient has a safe caring experience. Performs high quality and accurate diagnostic Computerized Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging in accordance with established protocols. Interacts with patients clinicians and staff in a professional and courteous manner. Applies knowledge of radiation protection MRI safety emergency protocols and procedures. Performs tasks to comply with regulatory standards. Educates and trains others on the operation of all MRI equipment procedures image quality and exposure techniques.
Work Schedule:
Fulltime 1.0 FTE. MF days/evenings
Aprox Hours: 11:45am 8:15pm
Call Holidays weekends as needed
Required Qualifications:
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
Must obtain certification of BLS within 6 months and continuously maintain.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry is required and must be maintained.
Advanced Registry in Magnetic Resonance required within 12 months after first shift working solo within modality.
Must maintain ARRT (R) (CT) (MR)
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Problem solving skills and discretion with patient information is required.
Computer knowledge or experience in specialized imaging systems such as threedimensional reconstruction is required.
The ability to exercise good judgment is important.
Must exhibit strong interpersonal and team building skills.
Demonstrates knowledge of agerelated growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
For MRI specialty positions (Cardiac Breast Prostate 3T) experience in the specialty areas is preferred. As long as all other qualifications are met an applicant with specialty experience may be selected over technologists without that experience.
Must possess the ability to safely and efficiently operate the following pieces of equipment: Computerized Tomography Equipment Patient Transfer Devices Security System Fire Alarms Three Dimensional Workstations Emergency Equipment Power Injector PC printer voice documentation devices fax and photocopier.
Proficient in EMR processes and PACS.
Must be willing to train and maintain competency in the operation of new equipment and technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Additional specialized training or experience in CT and MRI is preferred.
