Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a Test Engineer Journeyman (WSEP)to work out of Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado.

*Contingent Upon Award*

PAY:$145000$164000

JOB SUMMARY:

Conduct Weapon System Evaluation testing on Space Force systems to assess system vulnerabilities across entire architecture using realworld and simulated environments. Conduct operationally realistic testing to identify strengths and weak points in the architecture. Determine interrelationship factors that can adversely affect system effectiveness. Analyze recorded data collected during test evaluations and report out independent findings as prescribed by customer guidance. Write detailed test plans to identify data collection requirements analysis techniques and expected statistical outputs. Create Test Procedures to clearly identify expected operator and test actions during the test events. Generate detailed test reports containing statistical results table and graphs written findings deficiency identification and fielding recommendations. Direct and/or participate in all phases of test planning test and test reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Conduct test of mission systems to assess mission performance.
  • Build test scope using Critical Operational Issues (COIs) Objectives Measures of Effectiveness and Suitability (MOEs/MOSs) and Measures of Performance (MOPs).
  • Develop test approach with the purpose of performing statistical analysis to evaluate system performance.
  • Develop operational test documentation to include test plans test procedures data analysis plans test reports and required briefings.
  • Create surveys to evaluate acceptability of human factors documentation training safety and other areas as applicable.
  • Direct data collection activities and verify all required test objectives are complete.
  • Evaluate data and assess system performance using the collected test data the validated truth data and the methodologies and tools developed during test planning.
  • Use statistical analysis tools and methods to evaluate test data and document test results.
  • Collect and analyze maintenance data to determine system suitability.
  • Write technical reports to accurately describe results and problems encountered during testing.
  • Present evaluation results for customer review and ensure all documents and briefings comply with higher headquarters guidance.
  • Assist other Test Engineers by reviewing and providing comment to test briefings and documentation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 57 years of technical experience in DoD or USAF Operational Test and Evaluation test design analysis and test reporting in operational environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word PowerPoint Excel Access and Outlook).
  • Possess a broad understanding of statics to include data distributions data sampling techniques confidence intervals and regression test techniques.
  • Understanding of Design of Experiments fundamentals and able to apply DOE principles to test planning and posttest data analysis methods.
  • Understand how to evaluate common system effectiveness and suitability factors including reliability maintainability and availability.
  • Possess working knowledge Air Force Space Command and Air Combat Command test and evaluation directives.
  • Able to use data reduction tools to analyze raw data and identify signification system deficiencies.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Bachelors degree in related fieldORequivalent experience may be used in lieu of degree requirement.
