Senspex in Rio Rancho New Mexico is seeking to hire a Mechanical Engineer for our Engineering Department!


The Mechanical Engineer is critical to the success of our missions and responsible for the development design and integration of complex electromechanical systems.

What youll get to do as a Mechanical Engineer at Senspex:

  • Develop innovative electromechanical solutions to complex challenges that ultimately result in hardware builds
  • Utilize CAD and other engineering software to design electromechanical systems
  • Collaborate with other electrical and system engineers to achieve system design integration
  • Perform tests issue results and written reports to ensure tests meet hardware design specifications
  • Analyze and resolve design compatibility issues
  • Identify implement and manage engineering changes for product improvement
  • Provide support and recommendations for new and existing equipment with regard to installation upgrades and enhancements

The qualifications we require:

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering plus ten 10 years of experience in component or subsystem designs that includes electrical electromechanical or mechanical design practices; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • Ability to travel up to 10 domestic and international
  • Demonstrated proficiency with CAD tools and modeling
  • Demonstrated experience in prototype development including solid modeling drafting vendor management testing and integration

Other requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work within the United States
  • National security clearance: This position may require obtaining a U.S. DoD security clearance. Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance in order to work on projects/programs
  • Must possess acceptable forms of identification under the REAL ID Act
  • Must be able to successfully pass a preemployment background and drug test
