Job Description
JOB SCOPE:Responsible for a minimum of 9 hours and a maximum of 21 hours per week with a minimum of 15 in person contacts with patients including a minimum of ten 30 minute psychotherapy sessions per week.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide verbal psychotherapy to individuals and/or in groups setting.
- Conduct intakes as needed
- Assess clients need for services.
- Formulate appropriate treatment plans for clients.
- Centrally coordinate each clients psychotherapy with ancillary and combined services when needed.
- Include coordination with social work services psychological evaluations and psychiatric consultations.
- Maintain current and timely records on all patients in accordance with the PCMH policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by PCMH management.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload of children and adult clients.
- Competence in psychodynamic psychotherapy.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to clients and staff.
- Awareness and commitment to respective training programs operated by PCMH.
- Ability to complete documentations in an efficient timely and competent manner.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Computer literate.
- Outlook Microsoft and EMR.
Clinicians who prefer to work on site will be provided with space at our Bronx and Queens locations.
Rate of Pay:$40.0050.00 per hour (varies per session and licensure)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- LMSW/LCSW/LMHC in Clinical Social Work or Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Minimum 2 years experience in outpatient mental health setting with direct client contact as a Psychotherapist.
- Foothold AWARDS Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel) OMH Article 31 clinic regulations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to work proactively problem solve thinking critically and strategically.
- Ability to effectively manage time.
- Ability to appropriately assess and respond to crises.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility creativity and initiative.
