Job Description
Cleans & maintains living facilities dining areas rest rooms &/or offices (e.g. dusts mops sweeps buffs & waxes floors;
scrubs sinks toilets countertops walls & ceilings; dusts & cleans furniture & equipment; empties trash; washes windows;
polishes mirrors & glass; vacuums & shampoos carpet; replenishes soap paper towels & toilet paper).
Performs miscellaneous related duties (e.g. removes snow &/or ice from sidewalk; removes litter from grounds; replaces
light bulbs; orders &/or stocks supplies; secures doors &/or windows; moves furniture; sorts &/or washes linens).
- The final candidate selected for the position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. RuleBackground Investigations for Employment outlines disqualifying offenses that will preclude an applicant from being employed by the Department of Developmental Disabilities.
- The final applicant selected for this position will be required to submit to urinalysis prior to the appointment to test for illegal drug use. An applicant with a positive result will not be offered employment.

The Gallipolis Developmental Center is located along the Ohio River within the historic city of Gallipolis. We provide offcampus work/habilitative activities provided during the day. In addition we also have an Activity Center onground for habilitation recreation workreadiness and therapeutic training for individuals choosing those activities. We also provide a full array of health services as well.
