The Department of Corrections is seeking a dynamic organized peopleoriented person to join the team at the State Correctional Institute at Dallas as a Corrections Employment Vocational Coordinator. As a Corrections Employment Vocational Coordinator (CEVC) you will supervise and participate in the administration of our Inmate Employment Program. This involves providing employment and skills development opportunities to inmates within the correctional institution. You will be responsible for managing inmate job academic and vocational program assignments for which inmates are compensated.
Your responsibilities will include determining job vacancies interviewing and reviewing all inmates before being assigned to work details. You will also be providing vocational counseling directed at employment and skill development opportunities as well as coordinating and implementing the inmate payroll and compensation system.
