The Edmonton Election is a largescale complex highly legislated civic project that is held every four years featuring tight timelines and a broad range of stakeholders. It is a project that requires agility precision and dedication offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a process that enables Edmontonians to vote for Mayor and Council and Edmonton Public School Board or Edmonton Catholic School Division trustees.
Reporting to the Election Talent Acquisition Consultant you will act as the first point of contact and handle a large volume of calls resolving issues and answering questions related to the application process voting station assignments training schedules technical difficulties and attendance. You will also manage and respond to election worker recruitment and training emails. Your success will hinge on your ability to approach each interaction with a strong customer service and problemsolving focus ensuring every individual feels supported.
What will you do
- Act as primary point of contact for a high volume of phone and email inquiries
- Support Election Recruitment Specialist by following up on missing applicant information unsigned offers and unscheduled training
- Assist training team with training room setup track completions manage enrollments and waitlists and follow up on incomplete training
- Manage recruitment and training inbox ensuring all inquiries are addressed promptly and effectively
- Provide support and resolve user issues within the Election Logistics Management System (ELMS) escalating complex problems as necessary
- Postelection respond to payrelated inquiries from election workers providing clear explanations and support for payroll administration including verifying hours and resolving discrepancies
- Perform administrative duties and other related duties as required
- Completion of grade 12 or completion of an appropriate certificate program from an approved business school/college
- 3 years experience in a customer/public facing clerical or call centre role which includes responding to inquiries
Assets:
- Previous elections experience
- Experience using a candidate management system/applicant tracking systems such as ELMS or Taleo RMS
- Experience using Google Workspace (Calendar Docs Sheets Mail Chat Meet etc)

- Customer service skills with the ability to handle a high volume of calls and emails
- Decisionmaking skills with the ability to adhere to policies and procedures
- Attention to detail and accuracy even when performing repetitive tasks
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced deadlinedriven and highpressure environment
- Excellent organizational time management and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to learn and navigate new systems quickly

Conditions of Employment:
- Possible Evening and Weekend Work. Availability to work evenings and weekends may be required during peak periods to ensure operational efficiency and meet business demands.
- The weekly hours of work for this position are currently under review and may change at a future time. Any changes will be made in accordance with the City of Edmonton/Civic Service Union 52 collective agreement and the incumbent will be notified in advance.
