Job Description Summary
Provides marketing and administrative support to the Office of Engagement & Volunteerism. Assists the Associate Director of Alumni Engagement with brainstorming and developing content for the Alumni social media blog website and email communications.
Responsibilities
Research collect and develop stories and images that showcase alumni achievements and stories. Write blog posts social media captions emails and other communications. Collaborate with the team to create promotional assets such as social media graphics and email invitations that reflect the Chapman brand. Assist in planning and managing Chapman University Alumni social media Instagram Facebook and LinkedIn Group and cultivate new ideas to grow engagement on social platforms. Support alumni events by promoting events via digital marketing providing social media coverage assisting with event setup and take down. Create and maintain spreadsheets input and analyze data and research information as requested. Update and maintain alumni web pages as needed to ensure that content is accurate uptodate and engaging for users. Support the Office of Engagement & Volunteerism by greeting visitors responding to requests for information and assistance refer individuals to appropriate university offices as needed. Daytoday office tasks such as printing photocopying campus errands and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Excellent writing and editing skills. Professional email etiquette. Detailoriented and possess organizational skills to maintain calendars spreadsheets and meet deadlines. Good communication and interpersonal skills with ability to provide excellent customer service to diverse individuals and groups at all levels including peers alumni staff faculty and visitors. Ability to use standard office equipment including computer copier and telephones. Be dependable and work well individually and as part of a team. Demonstrates good judgment and maintains confidentiality.
