Please note:This position is 1 year contract with possibility of extension based in Richmond CA and offers a hybrid work environment including both remote and office centered work. The standard for flexible work is a minimum of four days per week inperson and up to three teleworking days per week. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Departments operational business needs and subject to change at any time consistent with the CDPH Telework Program.

Uses skills as a seasoned experienced professional with a full understanding of analytical practices policies and procedures; researches analyzes and develops solutions to a wide range of issues. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Primarily deals with policies programs and proposals which are complex in nature and diverse in scope. Develops new programs policies or procedures for possible implementation.
This position is within the Program Development Section of California Department of Public Healths Tuberculosis Control Branch (TBCB) with responsibilities to assess and evaluate identify needs and service gaps and provide support to local tuberculosis (TB) programs in a major region of the State. The incumbent provides program consultation and technical assistance in the development implementation and modification of local TB programs. In addition this position is typically responsible for the implementation of large statewide projects or several smaller statewide projects. The position assists local health jurisdictions in preparing their annual application for funding and is responsible for assuring that national and state goals and objectives are thoroughly addressed at the local level. This position applies professional concepts to facilitate the implementation of projects of moderate scope and complexity; fully analyzes issues and problems gathers data and information finds and evaluates alternatives and makes sound recommendations.
Duties include:- Providing technical expertise related to TB control case management contact investigation law/regulations supporting TB control and other programmatic responsibilities of a local TB program.
- Working closely with other members of the program development section and other TBCB sections on crosssectional topics such as: improving TB testing and treatment of populations at risk for TB linkage to care program evaluation and improvement funding to support local TB program activities
- Developing and interpreting complex policies guidelines and objectives related to the control of TB.
- Conducting onsite evaluations of local health department TB programs develops and coordinates effective action plans with the local health departments to meet the performance standards and state and national objectives.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $72000 to $85000(Annual Rate).
