Salary;Entry level pay $24.17 hr./$50273.60 annually
Hours:Monday Sunday Police Chief/Captain/Lt. sets schedule (hours may vary)

Job Summary
They are responsible for supervising and mentoring junior officers conducting detailed investigations into crimes collecting and analyzing evidence interviewing witnesses and suspects and preparing reports for legal proceedings. Corporals often act as a liaison between patrol officers and higherranking officials ensuring proper procedures are followed. Their work requires strong communication leadership and analytical skills as well as a thorough understanding of law enforcement protocols and criminal law.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be 21 years or older at the time of employment.
Must possess by time of hire a valid State drivers license without suspension or revocations in any State.
Felony convictions and disqualifying criminal histories are not allowed.
U.S. citizen.
Must be able to read and write the English language.
Must be of good moral character and of temperate and industrious habits.
Previous investigative work or experience
Intermediate Peace Officer certificate from TCOLE or the ability to obtain it within 1 year
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of fulltime paid service as a sworn police officer;
Successful completion of a TCOLE approved training academy
Investigative and Supervisory courses preferred
