Job Title: Industrial Painter
Job Type: Temp to Hire
Location: Broken Arrow OK
Pay: $18$22/hour (Based on Experience)
Shift:
Training: Day Shift 6:00 AM 4:30 PM
Regular Schedule: Night Shift 5:30 PM 3:30 AM
Must be open to working both shifts
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our team in Broken Arrow OK. This role involves sandblasting cleaning and painting compressors and various industrial equipment under limited supervision. All candidates must successfully complete an onsite skills test prior to hire.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operate cleaning equipment and prepare equipment for painting
Mix all types of paint systems and apply coatings per customer and company specifications
Operate sandblasting equipment according to customer and company standards
Mask and feather old paint surfaces in preparation for new coatings
Perform Dry Film Thickness (DFT) readings Psychrometer readings and Surface Temperature readings
Follow all Health Safety Security and Environmental (HSSE) guidelines
Frequently operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts
Exhibit flexibility to assist in other departments when needed
Required Experience & Skills
25 years of related industrial painting experience
Minimum of 1 year of forklift operation experience
Ability to safely operate heavy equipment including scissor lifts cranes and forklifts
Preferred Education
High school diploma
Physical Demands
Constantly inspect and paint equipment while climbing stairs or ladders maintaining balance without assistance
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
Work in outdoor conditions including exposure to all weather conditions and unairconditioned environments
Frequent movement including stooping kneeling crouching and maintaining different body positions in tight or confined spaces
Must wear all required PPE including a fullface mask
