We are seeking a diligent and organised Paralegal to join our Hong Kong Public Companies Practice. The successful candidate will provide essential support to our legal team assisting with a variety of tasks related to public companies in Hong Kong. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic legal environment.
- Assist lawyers in preparing proofreading amending and reviewing legal documents including prospectuses annual reports and regulatory filings.
- Conduct legal research and compile data on relevant laws and regulations.
- Support the preparation and of transactions including mergers and acquisitions initial public offerings and other corporate finance activities.
- Coordinate with clients regulatory authorities and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in due diligence and verification exercises and assist in the preparation of due diligence reports.
- Assist with legal review exercises including the distribution of documents for review reviewing documents and preparing legal review reports.
- Maintain and organise case files documents and records.
- Provide administrative support to the legal team as needed.
- Assist with the signing and completion process of transactions.
- Conduct general legal and commercial research and prepare reports/analysis using various sources.
- Liaise with internal and external clients.
- Assist with other adhoc legal and nonlegal tasks as requested by feeearners in the Group including the production of transaction bibles in both hard copy and CDs distribution of transaction documents and collating knowhow information.
- Organise and prepare legal files.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Law or a related field. A paralegal certification is an advantage.
- Prior experience as a paralegal preferably in corporate and securities law.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
