Job Description
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Germany
Nearly three decades ago Amazon set out to be Earths most customercentric company where people can discover and purchase the widest possible selection of safe and authentic goods. As part of that mission we obsess over earning and maintaining trust by ensuring that we provide a trustworthy shopping experience. We invest heavily in people and technology to protect customers selling partners brands and advertisers from any form of fraud or abuse.
When we identify and remove a noncompliant or unsafe product offer or suspend a seller advertiser or rights owner due to a policy violation we provide clear and actionable communications. We have a process to remediate policy violations appeal enforcements or dispute enforcements. If sellers remain dissatisfied with a decision Amazon took after reaching out to our support teams they can seek resolution for most disputes through an independent mediation process facilitated by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution. This redress mechanism enhances Amazons ability to appropriately protect sellers interests and expression.
Our dedicated EU Mediation team ensures that we hear and address selling partner pain EU Mediation team is looking for a Risk Manager to manage critical and high impact disputes.
The ideal candidate should be passionate about helping us ensure that customers may make great purchase decisions and that brand owners and sellers using Amazon are successfully listing and selling their products. Your decisions are not only fundamental to helping protect customers and sellers but will help maintain the health of the Amazon catalogue and product listings ecosystem.
The ideal candidate:
Uses highlevel judgement and critical thinking to deep dive and reexamine complex and ambiguous disputes.
Shows strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with and influence multiple internal stakeholders.
Is a fluent or native English speaker with excellent oral and writing skills
Is comfortable analyzing and using data to make decisions
Has a proven track record setting program strategy to deliver results.
Key job responsibilities
Investigates manages and resolves highimpact and complex around intellectual property (e.g. counterfeit trademark copyright) issues and violations of Amazons policies.
Uses highlevel judgement and critical thinking to deep dive and reexamine complex and ambiguous enforcement actions.
Collaborates supports and influences partner teams in responding to investigating managing and resolving highimpact incidents.
Writes Legal (in English) responses to present Amazons view on disputes to an external and independent mediator.
Analyzes existing policy and process gaps and develops solutions to close them in collaboration with program teams.
Owns and manages projects designed to improve operational and process efficiency and helps to scale the EU Mediation program further. This includes accessing and analyzing data and working extensively with teams across the organization.
Bachelors degree or equivalent
Experience in compliance program management legal governance audit risk/loss prevention or equivalent
Experience handling confidential information
Professional auditing qualification or similar risk or compliance credentials
Experience in program requirements definition together with data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements
Business proficiency in at least one other European language.
