Warehouse Packing Associate

Position Summary:
The Distribution Center (DC) Associate is part of the Distribution Center team. This role contributes to the success of the company by being responsible for order selection of any sales order packing any sales orders and assisting with container offloading. The DC Associate supports our vision by being dedicated and committed to versatility and excellence in all we produce.

Additional Information:

• This is a permanent fulltime hourly position at $15.00 hourly

• FullTime schedule is Monday Friday 9:00 AM 5:30 PM

• Our distribution center is located at 3151 Northwest 125th St. Miami FL 33167

• This position is based in a warehouse environment where teamwork and efficiency are essential

Major Duties Include:

Picking & Packing:

• Accurately picks orders for shipment and assembles various types of merchandise to be shipped as assigned
• Achieves productivity by picking and packing minimum as the continue ongoing training 
• Scans orders via a handheld scanner and packs& processes all transactions  
• Removes defective products or materials placing them in designated areas for proper processing 
• Loads the completed sale orders into designated areas for packing 
• Examines and inspects containers materials and products to ensure that packing specifications are met 
• Communicate with Order Fulfillment leader if any important or rush orders will not meet deadlines for picking and packing 

Other Duties:

• Assists with container off loading and any other warehouse duties as needed
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment in assigned aisles or areas 
• Contributes to department teamwork by demonstrating strong time and attendance records especially during monthend 
• Records personal daily punches and approves accurate biweekly time and attendance records 
• Actively participates in all oneonone and group meetings 
• Performs other duties as assigned 
• Promotes our FOH Culture in all interactions

Qualifications :

Education Experience & Computer Skills:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse setting picking or packing orders
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and handheld devices 
• Must be able to tolerate working in a highheat environment
• Basic understanding of computer programs

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this role the team member is frequently required to stand walk talk and hear. The team member frequently is required to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The team member is frequently required to sit; The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
• Team Members may also need to pull or push 800lbs pallet jacks.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision and color vision. Must be able to tolerate conditions associated with no air conditioning or heat.

The salary/hourly range for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including but not limited to work experience territory geographical location etc. As such starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
