Job Description
TheSupervisor Productionis responsible for supervising manufacturing team members in an assembly environment. Production Supervisors are primarily responsible for ensuring continual improvement in their assigned areas related to safety quality delivery and cost of refrigeration products.
This position will serve our AirDivision located inFort Smith AR.
This position serves our 2nd Shift.
Responsibilities
- Study production schedules and estimate manpower requirements to meet schedules.
- Confer with management engineering and other staff members regarding manufacturing capabilities production schedules and other considerations to facilitate the manufacturing processes.
- Train and mentor team leaders on various job aspects including safety quality and operational duties.
- Drive cost reduction and high performance using lean methodologies.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities including orientations training discipline directing work assessing work performance coaching developing and motivating team members.
- Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent. Higher level education highly preferred
- 5 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment
- Supervisory experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exhibit a high level of diplomacy tact and leadership
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel PowerPoint Word Outlook)
HOW TO STAND OUT:
- Associates degree in Engineering Supply Chain or related field.
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering Supply Chain or related field.
- Experience with Toyota Production System
- Experience with Oracle ERP
