Overview
The Senior Project Manager Financial Systems is a vital role within the organization responsible for overseeing the successful implementation and management of financial system projects. This individual will play a crucial role in the alignment of financial applications with business strategies while ensuring that projects are delivered on time within scope and within budget. As a senior leader the project manager will not only coordinate and lead crossfunctional teams but will also serve as a liaison between technical teams and executive management. The position requires a deep understanding of financial systems project management methodologies and excellent communication skills to drive project success and meet organizational objectives. Moreover the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for fostering a culture of continuous improvement and incorporating best practices into project . Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and implementation of financial systems projects from inception to completion.
- Define project scope goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Create detailed project plans and schedules outlining key milestones and deliverables.
- Manage project budgets resources and timelines effectively.
- Conduct regular project status meetings and update stakeholders on progress and challenges.
- Identify risks and issues proactively and develop mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate communication among project team members stakeholders and vendors.
- Ensure adherence to enterprise project management methodologies and standards.
- Monitor project performance and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
- Evaluate project outcomes and implement lessons learned into future projects.
- Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for endusers.
- Coordinate with IT and external vendors to ensure system integration and compatibility.
- Support the change management process to ensure smooth transitions for stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within project teams.
- Prepare regular reports and documentation for management review.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Finance Business Administration Information Technology or a related field.
- Master s degree or relevant certification (PMP PgMP) is highly preferred.
- Minimum 810 years of experience in project management specifically in financial systems.
- Proven track record of managing largescale financial system implementations.
- Strong understanding of financial processes and systems including ERP solutions.
- Expertise in project management tools (e.g. MS Project Jira Asana).
- Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team motivation and performance.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong problemsolving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
