Assists recreational supervisor with planning of therapeutic recreational activities. Coordinates and conducts therapeutic recreational activities. Provides an ongoing assessment of the patients functional level in collaboration with occupational and physical therapy to conduct activities to provide the highest level of patient care and maximize patient functioning and satisfaction. Provides and leads year round activities and services for individuals. Ensures the very best patient/family experience by optimizing all customer interaction.Job Duties:
Leadsactivities year round with a focus on developing trust community unity support anddevelopment skillsthrough appropriate therapeutic groups and individual sessions.
Leads the therapeutic recreation clinic and recreation room.
Assists with the development review andupdatesofrecreational policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
Completes charting requirements reviewing recreational assessments on patients during treatment and updating activities and programming schedule.
Develops and incorporates activity services into patient treatment plans.
Performs basic maintenance of recreation areas and equipment.
Completes maintenance work orders as necessary.
Assists with ordering andmaintaininginventoryof all recreation equipment and supplies.
Inspects all equipment and facilities regularly to ensure safety.
Conducts staff orientation for new employees and students pertaining to Therapeutic recreation services.
Consults with medical and other relevant staff to determine patients physical restrictions and participation level.
Consults and provides input as needed for performance of activity staff.
