The Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) seeks a Program Supervisor of Career and Technical Education (CTE) within the Secondary Education and Pathway Preparation division. This position will provide statewide leadership and support to the expansion of high quality CTE programs in agricultural education. This fulltime position is based in Olympia Washington. This position may be eligible for partial telework. Position Overview
This position resides within the Secondary Education and Pathway Preparation (SEPP) division at the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) and reports to the Director of Career and Technical Education. This position will provide strategic leadership for the expansion of opportunities for students interested in agricultural education. This position will build and implement a work plan that makes progress on strategic goals for the agency including:
This position will require collaboration with educators and industry partners to ensure increased access to CTE programs aligned with career opportunities in Agricultural Education.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the Agricultural Education Science Program Supervisor are to provide leadership consultation and support for the implementation of education reform in Washington high schools particularly in support of career preparation for occupations in the agriculture education/science pathway including career education for agriculture natural resources environmental and horticulture education.
This position provides ongoing technical assistance and supervises the agriculture science education programs in each of the 295 school districts within the state of Washington. This position provides guidance to school districts on effective state and federal program implementation and evaluation practices. It also provides leadership for FFA (Student leadership organization for students studying Agriculture Education) and serves as the Chairman of the FFA Association Board of Directors (BOD)and as a member of the FFA Foundation BOD.
Required Qualifications:
Three years of experience in designing and developing curriculum curriculum frameworks and instructional resource materials along with experience in education or training systems including project management instructional design assessment and program evaluation.
A combination of education and related professional work experience may be a substitute for either requirement.

Theannual compensation for the position is$82441 $96990 per year and depends upon experience educational background and qualifications. Geographic differentials may be applied based on work location of successful candidate.
