SUMMARY OF SALES ASSOCIATE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs a variety of retail store clerical functions including display of items sales and customer service. Job Functions include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Greets customers as they enter the store; offers assistance as needed. Treats the public at all times in a courteous cheerful and tactful manner.
- Keeps displays in proper order; assures that store is kept neat orderly and well stocked at all times. Ensures that store is kept neat and orderly; assists with housekeeping duties such as sweeping dusting vacuuming etc.
- Operates cash register and/or credit card terminal accurately; finalizes purchases. Balances drawer daily. May provide tax deductible receipt(s) to all donors as needed/requested. Answers customer questions or inquiries relative to items on display; assists customers with purchases.
- Reports any facility maintenance or safety issues to Store Manager promptly. Assists in maintaining a safe and secure environment within the store premises.
- Performs other essential tasks as requested or required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Valid Florida drivers license with safe driver rating.
- High school graduate or equivalent certification preferred but not required.
- Prefer at least six 6 months experience in a retail store environment however willingness to learn onthejob will be considered adequate.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
