Sr Manager Cyber Risk Management Retail Bank

As a Sr. Manager in Capital Ones Retail Bank Division you will apply your risk management and cybersecurity expertise to the companys Technology organization. You will partner across Enterprise Services Divisional BISO team Second Line of defense and Technology teams to develop and support bestinclass industry cyber risk identification and mitigation solutions in a manner that supports innovation while protecting our customers shareholders and associates. Collaboration with various teams will entail implementation of risk and control tools techniques and frameworks for the Retail Bank organization as well as provide cyber risk advisory services into our first line control owners. Your contributions will drive organizational change through effective and proactive risk identification measurement analysis and reporting in order to better manage the companys risk in an open and collaborative environment.

This highly collaborative role will work with senior level stakeholders to deliver valueadded risk management services to our Technology savvy business partners. You will have a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the opportunity to work with cybersecurity executives to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company. Proficiency in building and enhancing effective cyber risk management programs and frameworks (such as NIST CSF) are key to success in this role. The successful candidate will be a professional who understands cyber risk frameworks cyber control environments technology functions and organizations with strong analytical planning strategic thinking organizational and first rate communication skills. This role will report to the Cyber Risk Director within the Retail Bank.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Retail Bank Tech and Business teams to assess their compliance with the divisional and enterprise level cybersecurity controls.

• Assist the Retail Bank Tech Cyber & Data team in delivering against their strategy and service model.

• Lead identification assessment monitoring and reporting on cyber risks inherent to business and technology concepts.

• Lead cybersecurity risk assessments of large scale technology change initiatives to ensure all of the risks and potential areas of non compliance are identified documented and planned for appropriate remediation

• Apply understanding of cybersecurity controls to proactively mitigate risks to the business.

• Influence control owners and other stakeholders to build consensus on risk mitigation and remediation strategies.

• Provide oversight and guidance on key strategic cybersecurity initiatives and assess impact of these initiatives on the Retail Bank control environment

• Identify and implement continual program enhancements based on industry standards and best practices related to cyber risk management

• Design and implement information based internal risk and control governance

• Build successful relationships with line of business risk offices and team members to understand impact of technology risk on critical business processes

• Support Risk Control and Self Assessments (RCSAs)

• Provide leadership coaching and mentorship to more junior team members and assign tasks as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of Risk Management experience

• At least 5 years experience in Cybersecurity Technology Risk or Audit

• At least 3 years of People Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cybersecurity and technology risk certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or related certifications

• Experience in performing Control Self Assessments (CSAs) or completing assessments against established industry risk frameworks including: the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.

• Experience performing data analysis in support of internal risk assessments and control reviews

• Excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills to confidently interact with the cyber organization and enterprise stakeholders

• Excellent problemsolving analytical and critical thinking skills to effectively respond to shifting priorities demands and timelines

The minimum and maximum fulltime annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for parttime roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.
