Basic Purpose: Plan solicit book and coordinate small group meetings and room sales to meet/exceed revenue/profit goals.
Organizational Scope: Position is responsible for negotiating room and catering rates and controls for small groups of 10 to 60 people and/or 1050 rooms or less.
Essential Functions:
1. Solicit negotiate and book new and repeat business through various efforts (telemarketing mailings referrals etc. to maximize room and catering revenues to meet/exceed goals.
2. Plan upsell and detail the meeting/function with the client including: space requirements times equipment menus bill instructions etc... Complete the contracts prepare the appropriate paperwork coordinate with the appropriate areas in the hotel resolve any issues complaints and/or problems to ensure quality product delivery and customer satisfaction.
3. Develop a marketing strategy by analyzing hotel/market trends to capture the maximum amount of revenue and meet/exceed sales goals.
4. Maintain accurate legible records and files to provide group history ensure future and current quality service and enhance future prospects.
5. Communicate the overall set up and implementation of events and meetings. Work with relevant departments to ensure proper servicing of accounts.
