Job Description
A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Manager Systems Engineering at Power Solutions you will partner with Customers System engineers New Product engineers Sustaining engineers and Application engineers to lead the group in solving technical issues and develop new products for semiconductor customers. This position reports to the Sr. Manager System Engineering.
You Will Make an Impact By:
Directing a comprehensive product strategy from product conception and definition through end of life
Functioning as a central resource with design manufacturing quality test marketing and distribution as the product(s) move through their lifecycle
Directing those involved in the design modification and evaluation of all phases of a specific product or group of products
Formulating and executing longterm plans for cost/profit control
Promoting use of new technologies and industryleading trends
Selecting developing and evaluating personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
Responsibility for overall product(s) and people management
Travel Requirements: Up to10 of Travel is required.
Skills You Bring:
- BS degree in a technical discipline understanding of semiconductor processes and tools or RF systems.
- 5 years of experience in test engineering and data collection or manufacturing engineering
- More experienced candidates encouraged to apply
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the design of RF generators and matching networks used in semiconductor manufacturing
- Knowledge of the semiconductor manufacturing industry and semiconductor manufacturing process
- Working knowledge of RF network theory (Sparameters Smith Chart Impedance Matching)
- Expertise with RF test equipment (Vector Network Analyzer Spectrum Analyzer Power meter)
- High Power Amplifier and Matching Network design experience.
- Basic understanding of plasma physics related to semiconductor manufacturing
- Specific knowledge of thin film processing requirements in the areas of deposition and etch processes
- Expertise in distilling and solving complex problems is a must
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
- This job operates in a professional office and laboratory environment
