Position Title: Military Deception (MILDEC) Planner

Location: MacDill AFB Tampa FL

Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI

U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) located at McDill AFB Tampa Florida has a unique joint staff planning need focused on integrating and synchronizing DoD military activities with United States Government (USG) strategy. These services include developing inputs to strategies campaign plans and concepts of operation that ultimately translate strategic and operational objectives into a series of related activities and operations to achieve desired end states in coordination with other DoD components USG agencies allies coalition members and regional partners.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include the following:

  • Providing support in the drafting approval and of current MILDEC plans and orders to enhance operational success reduce U.S. casualties and prevent loss of equipment.
  • Providing subject matter expertise to USCENTCOM Component Commands for MILDEC planning with specific expertise in MILDEC plan coordination and plan deconfliction.
  • Providing expertise during the assessment of MILDEC operations based upon reviewing Measures of Performance (MOP) and Measures of Effectiveness (MOE) defined in MILDEC plans.
  • Providing support in coordinating with Counterintelligence assets.
  • Providing expertise in the synchronization of MILDEC planned and current operations activities and investments with Computer Network Operations Electronic Warfare operations security (OPSEC) and military information support operations in support of political and military objectives.

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate from the Defense MILDEC Training Course IAW the current CJCSI 3211.01.
  • Must be a graduate of a Service or Joint level MILDEC training course IAW USCENCTOM R5253.
  • Have at least 5 years of MILDEC planning experience.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience at the Geographic or Functional Combatant Command Headquarters or Service Component headquarters that directly supports a Geographic Combatant Command.
  • Knowledge and experience providing quality customer service to Government employees military personnel contractors and/or visitors.
