Position Summary
Perform testing and validation of pharmaceutical and biological raw materials for animal health manufacturing in the Chemistry Control Laboratory.
Hours: 1st shift.
Position Responsibilities
Test pharmaceutical and biological raw materials for animal health production according to government and company standards. Conduct laboratory investigations for questionable or outofspecification results. Train new analysts on analytical issues and assist analysts with testing and instrumentation. Ensure testing follows established test procedures utilizing analytical instrumentation Computer Data Acquisition Systems (CDAS) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) CGMPs Company Quality Standards and FDA/EU Guidelines. Adhere to testing schedules to accomplish a high volume of critical work without compromising the integrity of the results. Communicate effectively with lead analysts and colleagues. Communicate effectively with manufacturing to ensure timelines are met.
Education and Experience
Required
Twoyear degree in a sciencebased field. Two or more years analytical chemistry laboratory experience. The candidate should possess excellent organizational written and oral communication skills. Basic computer skills required.
Preferred
BS in chemistry or Biochemistry. Four years analytical chemistry laboratory experience.
Technical Skills and Competencies Required
Strong analytical skills including chemistry HPLC GC AA and UV/Vis. Proficient in Empower.
Proficient in common software such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Advanced Microsoft Excel skill required for data analysis.
Physical Position Requirements
This job has a combination of standing and seated duties.
