Interteks Building and Construction division is a suite of Intertek brands that are industry leaders across multiple architecture engineering and construction disciplines developing the most innovative product and project solutions. Interteks projectrelated assurance testing inspection and consulting services are the risk management and quality assurance partner you need to ensure the reliability safety and performance of your new developments existing assets and facilities. Interteks Building Science Solutions (BSS) group is primarily focused on building enclosure consulting commissioning and field performance testing for new construction and retrofit projects.
What are we looking for
TheBuilding Enclosure Department Manageris responsible forthe of technical work financial performance of the department and growth of the business. With regional team members in Charlotte and Raleigh NC the Department Managerwill oversee all locations but will be located in Kennesaw GA.This position will travel as business needs indicate usually up to 25 of the time will be outside the local area.
Shift/Schedule:Monday Friday 8AM5PM
What youll do:
- Follow and enforce safety and compliance requirements and company policies
- Manage Building Science Solutions projects within assigned region(s)
- Manage direct reports within your operating unit
- Work in conjunction with a dedicated Building Science Business Development Manager to grow the business in the SE US market
- Lead in regional business development marketing and sales efforts
- Provide building enclosure consulting commissioning and design and construction administrative services for new building projects
- Provide building enclosure investigations and assessments for existing building and provide remedial repair designs and construction administrative services when requested
- Assisting in meeting profit center financial goals
- Prepare professionally written deliverables including proposals technical report design reviews etc.
- Provide onthejob training and mentoring
- Assist in hiring and training new building sciences team members and mentor existing team members
- Grow the local BSS office by balancing staff workloads and bringing in new work such that staff are adequately utilized
- Participation in professional organizations author papers attend conferences and/or perform work on technical committees

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Architecture Engineering or Architectural Engineering with 7 years of building enclosure industry experience required OR 10 years experience in Building Enclosure consulting/industry in lieu of the bachelors degree required
- Technical understanding of building enclosure systems and construction.
- Experience with managing leading and developing staff both technical and administrative required
- Experience in managing operating unit P&Ls
- Experience in managing a range of small to large projects
- Ability to perform work from ladders boomlifts scaffolds swing stages roofs etc.
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to meet changing and strict deadlines.
- Consistent and professional interaction and communication with clients and project team
- Ability to travel up to 25 outside local area depending on local work/project locations
- Must have a valid drivers license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report
- Ability to pass a preemployment physical and drug screening
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:
- Professional registration or ability to obtain registration within one year preferred
