Minimum Qualifications
Junior Engineer
- Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering is required.
- Experience: None required.
- Licensure: Possession of a valid California Class C Drivers License is required.
Assistant Engineer
- Education: A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering.
- Experience: One 1 year of civil engineering experience in the City of Fairfield or two 2 years of experience including design of public works facilities or development review plan checking as applicable is required.
- Licensure: Possession of an EngineerinTraining (EIT) certificate is required. Possession of and the ability to maintain a valid Class C California Drivers License are required.
- Education: A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in civil engineering is required.
- Experience: One 1 year of civil engineering experience in the City of Fairfield or two 2 years of experience including design of public works facilities or development review plan checking as applicable is required.
- Licensure: Possession of a current registration as a Civil Engineer in the State of California is required. Possession of and the ability to maintain a valid California Class C drivers license are required.
- Education: A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering.
- Experience: Two 2 years of professional civil engineering experience equivalent to an Assistant Civil Engineer with the City of Fairfield or three 3 years of professional civil engineering experience are required. Experience in the public sector project management contract administration consultant selection regulatory permitting designing constructing and/or maintaining municipal infrastructure is highly desirable.
- Licensure: Possession of a current registration as a Civil Engineer in the State of California is required. Possession of and the ability to maintain a valid Class C California Drivers License are required.
- Education: A Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Civil Engineering is required.
- Experience: Five 5 years of increasingly responsible experience in professional Civil Engineering including two 2 years equivalent to an Associate Engineer with the City of Fairfield are required.
- Licensure: Possession of a valid Certificate of Registration as a professional Civil Engineer in the State of California is required. Possession of a valid California Class C Drivers License is required.
