Job Description
Surgical Technology Clinical Coordinator & Lab Instructor
Join a leading healthcare education institution in Tucson Arizona as a Surgical Technology Clinical Coordinator & Lab Instructor. In this dynamic role youll shape the next generation of surgical technologists through handson clinical instruction and program coordination. Core Responsibilities:
- Orchestrate and oversee clinical placements for surgical technology students
- Provide expert instruction in surgical technology laboratory courses to small groups of 10 students
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare facilities and clinical partners
- Implement innovative teaching methodologies in surgical technology education
- Create and update curriculum to reflect current surgical practices and industry standards
- Guide students through their educational journey with mentorship and academic advising
- Participate in program development and accreditation activities
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Current Surgical Technologist certification required
- Surgical First Assist certification preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in surgical settings
- Ability to work flexible hours in a fulltime capacity
- Experience in externships or preceptorships preferred
