VP Compliance Manager Monitoring Testing & Assurance S3 SCIB

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) is Santanders global division that supports some of the worlds most complex and sophisticated corporate and institutional clients offering customised services and valueadded wholesale products to best meet their needs.

This role sits within our Regulatory Compliance team part of a global function that delivers Compliance Monitoring Controls Testing and Assurance (MT&A).

Global MT&A conducts independent riskbased reviews to assess the design and effectiveness of the controls. Youll help protect the firm by assessing the regulatory and financial crime risks through structured reviews thematic testing and deep dives across key business processes and controls. Youll be leading and delivering riskbased reviews.

We operate globally covering Europe APAC the US and Latin America. Youll collaborate with colleagues in other jurisdictions with influence and impact across SCIB.

This is a handson role suited for someone who can plan and execute reviews build and foster relationship with stakeholders and contribute to improving the control environment across various business lines.

The difference youll make.

  • Planning and delivering complex reviews endtoend covering conduct market abuse conflicts and regulatory compliance themes

  • Designing effective testing strategies based on risk assessments and regulatory expectations

  • Leading scoping fieldwork stakeholder interviews and reporting

  • Assessing the design adequacy and operating effectiveness of controls

  • Identifying and document issues clearly and concisely with practical and riskbased recommendations

  • Tracking actions and follow up on remediation

What youll bring.

These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:

  • Experience in either Internal Audit Assurance or Compliance Controls Testing

  • Knowledge of Corporate and Investment Banking products and services

  • Attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication

It would also be nice for you to have.

  • Excellent knowledge of key regulations such as EMIR MiFID II MAR DoddFrank Volcker

  • Relevant Professional qualification such as CISI CFA ACAMS ACCA or equivalent

  • Spanish language would be beneficial but is not essential

  • Knowledge of Data Analytics and data interrogation techniques

What else you need to know:

This role is based at our offices in Triton Square London located within easy walking distance from Warren Street and Euston.

To support this we offer sitebased contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 3 days a week (prorata for parttime roles).
