Position:Autism Connections Intern Area of Study:Education Psychology Social Work or Human Services Status: Unpaid Experience Reports to:Director of Autism Services Job Summary: The primary responsibility of the (ASD) Intern is to support both the treatment team parents and children diagnosed with or suspected of having Autism Spectrum Disorder. The ASD Intern will work cross functionally to enhance and assist in functional assessments behavioral and cognitive therapy and applied behavior Analysis (ABA). Additionally the internship will follow the criteria of the specific university guidelines for field experience. Perform duties as assigned by the Judson Center supervisor. Supervision will be provided as indicated by the university. Competencies and Responsibilities - Strong writing and organizational skills
- Ability to navigate social media platforms and digital tools to support marketing tasks

- Coordinate and help develop marketing and fundraising campaigns that align with national awareness months and Judson Center campaigns.
- Performs all other duties as assigned consistent with scope of work.
Qualifications - College courses in the area of concentration
- Criminal background checks as required by licensing agency or other governmental and accreditation requirements
- Completion of agency requirements as for employees
- Computer literate Word Excel and able to work with databases
- Experience in Child Welfare Education or ASD preferred but not required. Volunteer or work experience in the field is a plus
- Valid Michigan drivers license or Michigan ID card depending on the position
Working Conditions - Generally working in a professional office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers photocopiers and smartphones.
- Occasional travel flexible schedule required including evenings.
- Use of personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.
