Job Description

Position Description:

The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Automated Test and Tools (ATT) Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office. The ATT PO will be responsible for defining prioritizing and managing the development of automated test cases and analysis tools working with Program Management to set priorities for new automated test capabilities and analysis tools and providing guidance to the ATT team for each Program Increment (PI) and Sprint. The ATT PO will support the team in the development of acceptance criteria for ATT tasks and stories as well as be responsible for the verification of work performed by the ATT team and capture/documentation of test results/defects in Jira and/or Confluence. The position will include technical briefings demonstrations and advisement to leadership. The PO will report on status; recommended courses of action competing capabilities performance risks and impacts to the IFMC mission.

Basic Qualifications:

The candidate must have a good understanding of software testing methodologies (functional regression performance etc.)and testing concepts necessary to establish a clear vision for the automated testing tool suite that aligns with overall product strategy and business objectives. The candidate will be expected to collaborate with stakeholders to gather functional and nonfunctional requirements for automated testing tools develop/define a product roadmap and prioritize features based on user needs and business impact. The candidate will also be expected to create and maintain a prioritized product backlog of user stories and test cases for automated testing tools and work directly with the ATT team to meet deadlines and program objectives. The candidate should be proficient in programming languages commonly used for test automation (e.g. Java Python JavaScript) and have experience with automated testing frameworks such as Squish Cucumber and JUnit.

The candidate must:

  • Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset
  • Be a US citizen
  • Have a Bachelors degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering the sciences or mathematics
  • Have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above

Other Qualifications:

Previous experience with/knowledge of IBCS PATRIOT MEADS THAAD C2BMC or AEGIS preferred. The ability to move out and champion your ideas architectures designs enthusiasm; independent critical thinking; and a team attitude are very important. Experience in JIRA/Confluence is a plus. Possessing an Agilist Certification is an additional plus.

Security Requirements:

Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher.
