Job Description

Job Summary

The Center for Autism and Neurodiversity (CAN) Employment Advisors primary responsibility will be to directly mentor CAN participants on employment and life skillsrelated goals and foster relationships with employers seeking neurodivergent employees. This employee will: conduct individualized student meetings to assist CAN participants with determined goals related to employment; collaborate and communicate with campus partners specifically SCDC around the students progress in their coop; and assist the CAN team with the development and implementation of largescale events to raise awareness and educate about neurodiversity.

This is an hybrid inperson position working primarily inperson.

Essential Functions

  • Meet individually with CAN students to monitor engage and counsel them while they are preparing for and partaking in coop and employment after graduation.
  • Support both students and their employers for student success on Drexel coops and beyond.
  • Cultivate and steward working partnerships with employers.
  • Engage with employers on many levels on issues of neurodiversity including working with outside partners to develop initiatives and collaborations.
  • Assist with planning and convening on and offcampus activities such as the Autism at Work: University Series events Faculty and Staff Education Series events and working employee breakfasts with the Steinbright Career Development Center (SCDC).

This position is classified as Exempt grade J. Compensation for this grade ranges from$47490 to $71230per year. Please note that the offered rate for thisposition typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade but it can vary based on thesuccessful candidates qualifications and experience department budget and an internal equity review.
