Role Overview
Make your mark on Jewish student life by joining Cincinnati Hillel as the Springboard Fellow. You will build one on one relationships with students plan and execute engaging events and programs around campus and help inspire students to make a commitment to Jewish life . With a strong studentfacing staff team the Springboard fellow will work with the Wellness coordinator and campus Rabbi to create meaningful and unique experiences.
As a Springboard fellow at Cincinnati Hillel you will get to spend the next twoyears directly impacting the experience of Jewish students on campus while advancing your own professional growth. You will spend your days engaged in meaningful conversations with students thinking creatively about programming and initiatives and chatting away with your fun and dynamic coworkers. Youll wake up each day (or at least most) and be genuinely excited and enthusiastic about creating an inviting place that inspires students to explore experience and create vibrant Jewish lives. This is so much more than your average 9to5.
About The Springboard Fellowship
The Springboard Fellowship is a paid twoyear fellowship that brings recent college grads with raw talent passion and skills needed to reimagine and redesign Jewish student life to college campuses across North America.
Trained in RelationshipBased Engagement HumanCentered Design and other entrepreneurial frameworks you will be exposed to the most successful initiatives from across the Hillel movement. Fellows will work with students to imagine create and refine experiences for Jewish life that dramatically impact student engagement efficiently and strategically apply and scale successful initiatives from across the movement and give birth to cuttingedge ideas that have the potential to transform how Hillel and creates inclusive spaces for #AllKindsOfJewish.
Were looking for people who embrace challenges take risks fail and learn from the past while maintaining their passion and sense of humor. Extensive Jewish education is not necessary just an interest in creating a vibrant Jewish community a commitment to learning and the desire to make a difference in the lives of students.
What Youll Do
GOALS:
- Actively grow the Jewish community at Cincinnati Hillel by engaging 200 students and helping our Hillel reach our overall organization engagement goals
- Map out a plan to strategically build oneonone relationships with 100 students currently not engaged in Jewish life.
- Identify student needs and create 35 new initiatives that bridge the gap in needs and helps make Hillel a stronger support system for all students
WHAT YOULL DO:
- Meet with students from different cohorts and demographics on campus to engage them identify their interests and connect to opportunities.
- Connect them with leadership roles in Hillel.
- Plan and facilitate weekly student intern meetings.
- Create manage and implement a social media strategy to increase engagement.
- Build cohort programming for Freshman and Greek life students
- Supervise student interns who are responsible for engaging their peers in Jewish life on campus.
- Integrate Jewish involvement in campuswide programming such as Sigma Sigma carnival and Take Back the Night
- Recruit for Fellowship programs.

What Youll Bring to the Job

- This is an inperson role location in Cincinnati OH; remote work is not available for this position
- Strong communication skills and a team player. We want to hear your ideas and suggestions even if we dont always listen to them.
- Comfortable pivoting when plans are not going as expected
- Confidence initiating and running programs and comfort asking questions.
- Ability to collaborate across teams both inside and outside of Hillel.
- Willingness to admit what you dont know and excitement to learn in those areas.

What Youll Receive
- Competitive salary in the nonprofit marketplace. The salary for this role is $46000 in year one of the Fellowship and $48000 in year two of the Fellowship.
