About the Role:
As an Engineer supporting Targets Human Resources technology portfolio you will focus on building enhancing and supporting features within one of the worlds largest Workday implementations. You will also work on complementary technologies outside of Workday to drive additional business value and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development: Collaborate with product owners and senior engineers to design build and maintain software components that are robust scalable and secure.
Workday Integrations & Extensions: Develop or support solutions involving Workday tools (e.g. EIB Studio Reports) and help integrate Workday with external systems and APIs.
Code Quality: Write clear maintainable code; perform code reviews; contribute to the teams best practices in testing and automation.
Operations & Incident Management: Participate in oncall rotations and resolve technical issues with minimal supervision ensuring high availability and reliability of supported applications.
Continuous Improvement: Explore new technologies frameworks and methodologies to enhance team productivity and product quality.
Collaboration & Mentorship: Work in an agile environment with a crossfunctional scrum team. Share knowledge and partner with team members to solve problems.
Requirements:
4year degree or equivalent experience.
1 years of software development experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g. Java Python or similar).
Familiarity with distributed programming concepts data structures and design patterns.
Experience in Workday technology (e.g. EIB Studio Advanced Reporting) as well as web services REST APIs and XML/XSLT.
Comfortable working in an agile environment including participating in daily standups sprint planning and retrospectives.
Strong problemsolving skills.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Targets needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team members core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually depending upon what your role team and tasks require for that day.
