KBRhas an immediate need for an energetic and dynamicC/C Software Engineerat itsSioux Falls SD is the primary contractor to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) for performing work at the Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center nearSioux Falls. The multidisciplinary staff in partnership withNASAand in support of theLandsatproject uses their unique expertise in remote sensingbased science and technologies to carry out research data acquisition information access and management and archive preservation to provide satellite ground imagery data to users and science organizations around the world. This effort represents the worlds longestcontinuously acquiredcollection of spacebased moderateresolution land remote sensing data with over four decades of imagery.
This role is primarily onsite allowing for the full collaboration with our customer and team. We are open to discussing some consideration for remote work as part of our employment package.
Core Responsibilities:
The C/C Software Engineer is responsible for all aspects of designing developing and maintaining SW products throughout the development lifecycle on the Landsatproject.
Responsibilities include:
Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or related field. Master degree preferred.
Experience: 58 years of related experience in a Software Engineering environment is desired. Experience with data ingest image processing satellite ground systems and/or cloud computing are a plus.

Candidates must have strong technical abilities excellent communication skills and a teamwork emphasis. Candidates must also be able to integrate into a highlyskilled Information Technology Team.
