THE ROLE

Were seeking a talented and experienced assessment content creator to join our Assessments team. As an assessment content creator you will contribute to the development of new innovative K12 assessments. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of HS ELA state standards and assessment development best practices and have a passion for teaching and learning.

What youll do:

• Contribute to the creation of K12 assessments leveraging your subject matter expertise to execute on blueprints and test items and maintaining item bank content
• Use and contribute to improvements in our content and item management systems
• Ensure alignment of items with state standards content and to item development best practices
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams product design and engineering in creating more complex interactive assessments for our students
• Innovate with new activity types made possible by AI technologies

WHAT YOU BRING

• You are motivated by the Khan Academy mission to provide a free worldclass education for anyone anywhere.
• Deep pedagogical expertise and expertise in state and national standards.
• 2 years classroom experience teaching HS ELA particularly early HS ELA
• A focus on a positive assessment experience.
• Interest in using new AI tools as assistants in content creation.
• Experience in K12 assessment development including blueprint creation and item development.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) as well as an eye for detail.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Proven crosscultural competency skills demonstrating selfawareness awareness of other and the ability to adopt inclusive perspectives attitudes and behaviors to drive inclusion and belonging throughout the organization.
• A positive growth mindset that is curious and energized to innovate and create something new for our students.
• A bias to action.

The target salary range for this position is $77600 $97000 USD / $104862 $131077 CAD. The pay range for this position is a general guideline only. The salary offered will depend on internal pay equity and the candidates relevant skills experience qualifications and job market data. Additional incentives are provided as part of the complete total rewards package in addition to comprehensive medical and other benefits.
