WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
This Program Coordinator 2 is responsible for the development and ongoing coordination of statewide regulations policies services initiatives and planning for programs that are funded by and support the mission of the Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual (CDVSA) to provide safety for Alaskans victimized or impacted by domestic violence sexual and other interpersonal crimes through a system of statewide crisis intervention accountability for those who cause harm and prevention initiatives to stop DVSA and other crimes from occurring. This position will administer and provide support to community based programs that provide accountability and healing for those who use violence in their relationships while ensuring safety for victims and survivors of interpersonal violence. In addition this position will provide leadership and collaboration between the Department of Corrections victim services and other stakeholders to improve programming that will provide a comprehensive approach to decrease violence and improve outcomes for individuals who participate in battering intervention programming. This Program Coordinator 2 will also provide support to the Criminal Justice Planner and Executive director to assist with statewide projects training events and planning as required in the Violence Against Women Services Training Officers and Police (STOP) implementation plan.

The mission of the Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual located within the Department of Public Safety is to promote the prevention of domestic violence and sexual through a statewide system of support safety intervention education and perpetrator accountability and healing. CDVSAs purpose is to empower Alaska communities to create a future free of domestic and sexual violence and to build a comprehensive interconnected system of services accessible to all Alaskans that will decrease domestic and sexual violence. CDVSA core values are: excellence passion receptivity and collaboration.

CDVSA is a small dynamic team of eleven 11 staff that reports to an 11member board of directors. Staff work both as a team as well as independently to guarantee a coordinated and collective outcome. The CDVSA team provides funding support training and technical assistance to 34 communitybased nonprofit agencies all working to end domestic and sexual violence in Alaska. Because Alaska ranks number one in intimate partner and interpersonal violence across the country the work CDVSA does is critically important to improve the health wellbeing safety and growth of all Alaskans. THE WORKING CONDITIONS YOU CAN EXPECT:

CDVSA is located in beautiful downtown Juneau Alaska with easy access to restaurants shopping and the waterfront boardwalk. CDVSA is located in the Community Building a secure building at the intersection of Third and Main Street. The offices are open and welcoming with space for team interactions as well as individual space for independent work. The work environment is friendly supportive teamoriented and focused on accomplishing the important work of CDVSA. Work schedules are flexible as long as they fall within the State of Alaska business hours. Additionally CDVSA provides the opportunity depending on the needs of the office and the suitability of position and staff for team members to request a hybrid work schedule combining inoffice and up to 2days of telework per week. Weekly staff meetings are held to promote communication collaboration and camaraderie as well as to coordinate staff activities and share vital information.
